A New Form is an independent jewellery label designed by Jude de Berker.
A New Form started as a side project that slowly took over my life. I studied Jewellery design at Uni but got waylaid along the way, a move to Wales for a slower way of life enabled me to do this full time.
Now I spend my days making in a light and airy studio above a craft gallery in Cardiff, Wales. I create unusual contemporary jewellery that celebrates wood and tactile surfaces using a blend of classic jewellery techniques and modern production methods.
I pair my love of making with a commitment to sustainability & ethical practices. Traceability is really important to me, thats why you'll find 'My materials' tab with a full list of the origins of every element used in the workshop and why it has been chosen.
Its how buying stuff should be. Simple.
To keep your jewellery in top condition I recommend keeping pieces in a safe place whilst not being worn and to be removed whilst exercising, sleeping, or washing.
Avoid direct contact with water, perfume, creams and other sprays as this will mark the wood and damage the durable lacquer applied to protect the metal elements from tarnishing.
The silver elements of the designs can be cleaned with a silver cloth to brighten.
